Unity Meridian Pastoral Charge is so named because it is an amalgamation of the old Anglican Meridian Parish, along the Saskatchewan-Alberta border, and the Unity Pastoral Charge. The union took place over thirty years ago. Now the Charge includes only Unity United Church and Evesham Community Church, but in the past included Senlac and Swarthmore.
Unity United Church is located at the corner of 1st St. East and 3rd Avenue East in Unity. We take up the whole block!—the church itself is 310A, the Christian Education Building is 310B, and the manse is 310C.

Evesham Community Church is easy to find! It is very picturesque as you approach the village along Highway 14 just 10 k. east of Macklin.
The church shows up like a beacon to all who pass.

We worship regularly at 11:00 a.m. in Unity, and at 10:00 a.m. in Evesham.
The minister generally takes the month of July for holidays, and we choose to take holidays as well, so there are no services in July. We join the Anglicans in Unity for services during that time.
Our minister goes to Evesham once a month for services; on that Sunday our services are lay led; we have a list of fifteen or so lay people who will do worship leadership.
Three Sundays, Evesham lines up their own pulpit supply, either from within or without. They get occasional visits from the Anglican Bishop, which they enjoy.

Bible Study Is held in the Manning Room on Wednesday mornings at 10:30—an informal but informative time where we may air our questions and share our faith, and get to know each other better.
Ultimately, it is our life of faith and worship that keeps us together. We strive to follow Christ and with prayer and thanksgiving, offer our gifts and talents for the good of all. We offer pastoral care to our community, and work with the Unity Ministerial Association on ecumenical events. We support the United Church’s Mission and Service Fund, partnering in peace and justice work in Canada and around the world.
Through much of the year, an exercise class meets in the gym on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 9:30. Call Faye McLean for information: 228-3514
